Anyone had their Garmin 205 stop beeping and know how to fix it?  Mine has decided that it can't make a peep anymore which is rather annoying.

i dropped mine on cement a couple of years ago and it quit beeping. then after about a year it started beeping again ?? now it beeps about half the time. apparently it has the power to heal itself.

I think some Garmins must be possessed.  For 1 full year my Garmin was in some weird mode where I would have to do a full reset never once but always twice just to get it to turn on.  Then magically after a year it started working mostly normal again, except some days it just turns off randomly during a run. What the heck?  Mine has also mostly lost the beeping ability, but not completely as it will still sometimes beep but just super quietly.

A hard reset might help. If not, the little piezo beeper in there may be corroded from moisture getting in.

Hard resets work a lot of the time.  My 205 has been doing funky things as well and won't turn off unless I do it 2-3 times!  I am returning mine for a new one.
