| Very busy week, wasn't able to run Wednesday or Thursday unfortunately. On the run today my left arch was hurting quite a bit. Not a sharp pain, but a dull one. I'm planning on doing 10 tomorrow, so I decided to cut it short today and hopefully not have it hurt tomorrow.

| First ten mile run since my senior year of high school! I drop up to Smithfield for my run, wanted a change of scenery. Parked my car at a park (pun intended?) then ran up Smithfield canyon to the campground, then around it for a while until I hit five miles. I enjoyed running in the canyon, I ended up almost gaining 1,000 feet of elevation, but it was mostly pretty gradual. Just before eight miles started to feel pretty tired. Good run overall. There's a creek right next to the park, so I'll be up here in the summer some for runs and an ice bath after.

| Not too much time for a run today, so a shorter run. A half mile in I decided to do a tempo 5k and see how it felt. 6:32 average pace. Felt pretty good and controlled during it, I'm confident I could hold that pace for over a 10k if I prepared for it.

| Today was one of my most miserable runs in a long time. It was in the low 30's with 20mph wind gusts, made it feel about 20 degrees out. I decided to run into the wind to get it over with. I obviously had just woken up, because I wasn't paying very much attention. When I turned around, I realized I had not been running into the wind. The way back was just as windy if not more. Came across a handful of guys on the XC team so seemed to be having just as much...fun as I was. I was cold and not enjoying it so I cut the run 1.5 short. I will make it up later this week.

| I made the unwise decision to play some hardcore basketball on Monday, and my knees have been suffering since. I went up to the ARC (Aggie Recreation Center) to hit up the elliptical or spin bike for today's workout, but since I'm not taking summer classes they wouldn't let me in. Pretty dumb in my opinion, since I've already signed up for fall semester and paid for tuition. Oh well. Went on a short run, knee was bugging me the first mile but it loosened up which was good. 7:22 pace.
