Russian champion tries Crocs, commits to racing a marathon in them

Nikolay Chavkin in the video below did 3x1000, first two in Adidas carbon-fiber models, the last one in Crocs. Surprised by the result (2:52, 2:52, 2:50) with the fastest interval done in Crocs, he committed to racing a marathon in Crocs if the video gets 42K likes and 195 comments (for 42 km 195 m, the marathon distance). Nikolay's current marathon PR is 2:14:00. The video was created by a Russian sporting goods store chain. Their moto is "more sports - brighter life", which we think is wonderful, and also deserves a Like. If you want to see a fast marathon in Crocs, go to the video and click the Like button. And make sure to share it with your friends.

Loop throughout Cedar Hills. Ran as the sun was coming down. Even though it was still quite warm out, it felt nice.

Went up on Bonneville with my neighbors dog. On the way out he was dragging me along. Either there were an abnormal amount of rabbits out, or the dog is much more aware of them than I am. On the way back he started to understand my pace and fell in line beside me. It was a good time and also a pretty good workout. My knees were tightening up towards the end, but I probably deserve that for not running Tuesday or Wednesday.

Shoutout to Zack for inviting me to play nine square before my run, saw some LP homies I hadn't seen in almost four years!

I've been quite busy lately, but also haven't made very much time to run. Today my little brother and I ran up the timpooneke trail for a bit. Saw the Bybees! Hadn't seen Ryan since before my mission, so that was a treat.

Quick run in the evening. Very nice weather for a run. My stomach hadn't quite settled from dinner, but it wasn't unbearable.
