Not too much time for a run today, so a shorter run. A half mile in I decided to do a tempo 5k and see how it felt. 6:32 average pace. Felt pretty good and controlled during it, I'm confident I could hold that pace for over a 10k if I prepared for it.

Busy day again, only time for a shorter run. Went up green canyon today. There was a lot more snow on the trail than I thought there would be. However, I should have anticipated that since most of the trail is on a north facing slope.

Down in St. George for the week! Before the sun came up it was in the high 50's and felt amazing. Went on the river trail. Air is quite a bit drier here, I need to put forth a conscious effort to drink more water while I am here.

Started on Bearclaw Poppy and went into Stucki Springs. Was a good time! Went out 3.5 and zig zagged my way back for a bit extra mileage. Need to drink more water.

Six miles at 7:36 pace. Felt pretty easy. Aiming for 38 miles this week. Really need to start being consistent with my runs, I'm running the Utah Valley half in early June. Need to start getting ready for it.

Today was one of my most miserable runs in a long time. It was in the low 30's with 20mph wind gusts, made it feel about 20 degrees out. I decided to run into the wind to get it over with. I obviously had just woken up, because I wasn't paying very much attention. When I turned around, I realized I had not been running into the wind. The way back was just as windy if not more. Came across a handful of guys on the XC team so seemed to be having just as much...fun as I was. I was cold and not enjoying it so I cut the run 1.5 short. I will make it up later this week.

The weather today was worse than it was yesterday. About 30 degrees out, 35mph winds, and snowing. I decided to be a softie and go on the treadmill. My stomach wasn't agreeing with me for miles four and five, but besides that a good run!

Ran up to Green Canyon then did a few miles on the trail before turning around. My legs were feeling it today, not sure why. Yesterday's run was pretty lax. Although I don't have a ton of miles on my shoes, I'm going to look into getting some more this next week. Could feel a lot of the rocks on the trail. Happy with how my week of running went.

Ran the Smithfield Canyon road today. My stomach wasn't agreeing with me for the latter half. I hadn't eaten anything for three hours before the run, so I'm not sure why it was acting up.

Was planning on going 8 but I got a blister on the bottom of my foot at 6.5 so I ended it a little early.

The lower part of my left leg was hurting a good amount so I cut more run short. Stretched and rolled out my legs well afterwards. I'm hoping the culprit for the pain isn''t the new pair of shoes that I started wearing today. I've never had problems with Kinvaras before, hopefully it isn't that.

Let still hurt a little but not as much as it did on Monday. Interested to see if it will hurt at all later today.

Ran to the mouth of Dry Canyon. Wore my old shoes and my feet didn't hurt. I didn't have any problem with Kinvara's in high school, but I guess my feet need more support than the Kinvara provides. Shins were hurting a touch on the downhill on the way down the hill in front of the canyon.
