| 20x400. I think I was too slow on the two-mile pace ones and I didn't push myself hard enough during the mile ones. Tried to make up for it on the last 5 but got a crippling side ache. Tried to push through it but just couldn't. If it happens in a race theres I'm going to have to learn to push through it.

| Tried something a little diferent today and brought two pairs of shoes. The freedoms for the 6 before speed and then zantes for whatever was left. Lower calves were hurting something fierce for the first 6 then when I put the zantes my whiny little calves turned into fully-grown cows ready to kill this speed. That's exactly what I did, 2-mile workout was 4x1000 @ 2-mile pace wasn't really sure about what pace I should actually hit. First one with Dalpal and hit a 3:06 and it hurt a lot more than I expected and got me realy concerned I wouldn't be able to keep it up. Went out a little faster next time and stuck with the Twins and Thom, it still hurt like someone was tenderizing my legs but ended up with a 3:01 for all the remaining sets. Had a euphoric cooldown in the wind and rain then abs and hips.

| I really wanted to do IM Flash today and it felt great to do it for a while for it quickly became appareant that 7 miles of hill would not rest happy with the legs. Thought of an alternate route that ended up working out great. Time flew by for 8 miles but after that it just dragged on for those last few. Legs felt a lot better than I expected which was a most welcome surprise. Soleous hurt a little today but no where near yesterdays level. Abs and hips.

| Ran down to the twins house to see if the calls had gotten here (they hadn't). Then ran down 300w then over to Lehi high. Lost Mike at 4 so it ended up being just Thom and I but it was a good run, except for the last 1.2. Legs began to feel tired and it just felt like that last little bit was being grinded out.

| Twas a good one. Went out on Murdock and interrogated Gill for details on his Peru trip along with the dets on Sam + Gill. Related it to running and decided Gill is beginning his final lap and must kick it in now and finish through the line. Put a ring on it already. Now for the fun part. Went out to where Murdock intersects a road at the park by freedom and took a right because out and backs are just no fun. After a pleasant little run through some quant but rather rich neighborhoods we are faced with a decision. Turn left following a road and possibly risk going over or take a right and hop on trail and see where the trail will take us. The trail proved to be the best option and after a fence hop or two later we come to a lovely green field. Hop over a little fence near a stream and continue running, until two horses materialize out of nothing on top of a hill and they do not look pleased with us invading their field. Reminescent of movies with Native Americans appearing on horseback then seeing the intruder off. We proceed to scramble across said stream but it turns out to be a swamp. After making our way through some trees to try and escape from the horses who have now made their way down the hill we see a road and make our way towards that #salvation. Until Gill points out there are rather angry looking yaks in the pasture between us and the rhe road. One yak didn't like the way Thom looked at him or maybe just the way Thom looked idrk but nevertheless he charged the fence. We then book it through a backyard and return to civilization and then run back to Skyridge via Samis road and 1200 east. Also AK smh.
