Ran with son, a friend of his, our Golden on a recovery run (from my sons race) in Mill Creek. His friend (a non-runner) will probably not run again with us (even though we ran on slow side) - the kid was totally dead afterwards. He was noisy before running and totally silent after running. Great day for running, think it was close to 70 for late November, we ran a loop that came right out at 5 miles. Parked at winter gate (Maple Grove) in Mill Creek then up the road to Elbow Fork then on Pipeline Trail back to road by Burch Hollow, then back up road also using ski by-pass trail back to car. A very pleasant run, nice temps, a fall/winter forest (but no snow).

Left calf has been sore last 3 days for some reason

Elbow Fork and pipeline, nice run, I bet is was beautiful. It is a little scary in a couple of places when you look down. Sounds fun. It seems your getting the miles in if you could just get rid of some of the aches and pains.
