Dimple Dell - 5miles, course is getting too sandy with all the horses and dry weather.

Also hiked 3 miles in steep terrain for work so Ill count that as 1 mile

Found a 5K route marked near our house, measured it in car - appears close to accurate so may run that some day

The course starts about 1/2 mile up the road from the Alta Pervian lodge, right on the main road. It can be a real pound going down hill and really hammer the quads. We decided not to run it this year because you can easily get out of control it is so fast. Best to do some downhill practice running before this race.

Alta is one of my favorites. It's a really fun race and they have a bbq after at the lodge. I think Alex will like it, but it does make you sore. I don't know if it is still there, but Larry Smithee set a world record in the 8k on that course (obviously aided).
