I have ran 20 marathons.  Utah Grand Slam 2003, PR's Swiss Days 5k 2008 19:48 Spectrum 10k 2008 39:08, HobbleCreek 1/2 2008 1:24:18 , SGM 2009 3:00:27

Short-Term Running Goals:

 Sub 3:00 marathon and sub 1:24 half marathon in 2010 but not put too much pressure on myself and ENJOY running!

Long-Term Running Goals:

Keep improving on my running and race times but at the same time be able to keep it very enjoyable!

Married for 6 years to a very supportive husband .Work part time as a dental hygienist in SG, UT.  Just had first baby boy June 6 2009 and love being a mommy!

Alarm went off and felt so tired, typed my text to Heidi that I needed another day to sleep in and recover but then made myself get up and get moving before I could send it. Talked myself into going and so glad I did. I felt a lot better than I thought I would once I got running. I must have slept funny the night before or something that stemmed from the race but yesterday my shoulder and neck started hurting really bad and I could bearly move my arm. I could feel a big knot in my shoulder, I had my husband massage it but it didnt seem to relax it at all. This morning I could feel it the whole time on the run. Good news now its feeling tons better. Told her I only wanted to run 8 today but felt good and we added on to get 10.

Well after a 10 month haitus for blogging I decided that I needed to start again. I do miss it and regret not having my mileage logged over the past year but needed the break to focus on figuring out motherhood plus our computer crashed and only had limited access to one. But I need to start blogging and keeping track of miles and details so I can finally reach my goals. And of course I miss keeping in contact with all my running buddies :)  So here we go again...

Was planning on meeting Amber for an easy run but we both cancelled on each other . I was glued to my bed, the whole weekend of very little sleep caught up to me, not to mention running a marathon.

4 mile walk with the Taylor in the stroller. Calves are pretty tight from UV marathon. Felt good to walk and stretch them out. Its so nice that my little boy loves the stroller and is so content on any walk or run. I guess I taught him young to love it!

Just sat down and figured out my training plan for SG and made my goals. I always have my goal I say out loud and then my secret goal in my head.  It felt good to get a plan together. I definetly did not do that for UV and it showed in how I felt and my performance. I have been in a racing rut that I need to get out of and fast. I think this race was a major wake up call that I cant fudge my way through and need to start putting in the effort thats required. So thats what I am going to do...put in the effort and get my head in the game and finally get that 2 on my finish time!!!
