I was pretty tired today, so I went pretty slow on the way back (the last 5 miles).

The mile was fine, I just felt like I didn't have as much in me to give today. I got a great spot at the start and 2:05 through 800. But at the 800 mark I was just feeling I was a lot more fatigued than I should. I really did feel like I tried my best to run hard I just felt like I didn't have that extra gear. I think my time was 4:19 which isn't really too great. I was disappointed and I want to get to the point where even if it's a "bad day" I can still run great.

Pacing the 5k was fun. I went through 6 laps in a 7:09. 4:44 pace would have been a 7:07 and Coach Griggs said 4:45 pace so I think I paced it good. I was more focused on hitting the pace than running it "smart" necessarily, so there was a time or two I was a second or two off and so I went around someone or a group to make sure I stayed on. So maybe that made it hard for Justin and Evan to go with me the whole time but at least they had an indicator of where that pace was at. I felt bad that Evan and Justin didn't have their best day, it was good to see Darren run as well as he did given he was basically running by himself.

Cooled down some until the bus left and then had to do a few more miles when we got back to Logan.

Also a side note, my groin was starting to bother on the cooldown in Logan and as of SUnday when I am typing this it is feeling a little sore today so I will pay attention to how it's feeling and may let Paul know.
