Today was the 2x2 mile tempo on the tempo loop today. 3 min recovery in between.

These are definitely the workouts I struggle the most with. I tried my best to have my mind off but the first loop felt pretty fast and so I felt like I was fighting to hang on from the go on the second rep. I fell off before even the one mile mark on the second loop. I was still trying to go as hard as I could but it definitely was even more difficult by myself. It was a little frustrating because I feel like I do so well on the track workouts and the quick fast stuff never gets the best of me but I have felt that the strength based workouts I struggle with much more often.

I need to force myself to surge every time a gap opens up on these kind of workouts because if I don't it will guaranteed get really tough when I'm separated from them. And if that meant I would blow up later, I need to be okay with that and accept that is always a possibility when we're running fast.

First loop I had 10:31 (5:15, 5:16), second loop I had 10:47 (5:12, 5:35)
