Russian champion tries Crocs, commits to racing a marathon in them

Nikolay Chavkin in the video below did 3x1000, first two in Adidas carbon-fiber models, the last one in Crocs. Surprised by the result (2:52, 2:52, 2:50) with the fastest interval done in Crocs, he committed to racing a marathon in Crocs if the video gets 42K likes and 195 comments (for 42 km 195 m, the marathon distance). Nikolay's current marathon PR is 2:14:00. The video was created by a Russian sporting goods store chain. Their moto is "more sports - brighter life", which we think is wonderful, and also deserves a Like. If you want to see a fast marathon in Crocs, go to the video and click the Like button. And make sure to share it with your friends.

And what is the most important event of your life?

Ya, what is it? Come on, spill the beans? Addie, I'm just getting back to the Blog and some kinda serious running again. Are you thinking about making a Boston Marathon BQ attempt any time soon? Or even Huntsville or St. George? Since I answering your Sept 27,'19 blog entry I will probably need some updating!!! Good luck out there and remember to keep moving as it harder to hit a moving target, as apposed to a stationary one!!!!

Hey Burt and Coach! I tried logging in a month or so ago but couldn't remember my password. Tonight it came to me and I logged right in. Yayyy!

Hmmm, I honestly don't remember what I was talking about when I said I would be training for the biggest event in my life. I must have been contemplating a big race. I'm kidding. I was getting in shape for a life-changing, major surgery in January. It took me a few months to recover, and a couple more before I could start working out again, which I've started doing. I still can't run yet after some complications, but at least I can do other things.
