two foods that seem to be runners' staples: bananas and peanut butter. not necessarily together, but all the better if they are. just wondering how many of you out there are peanut butter lovers (forget about the fact that it has been tainted as of late). best recipe?

I LOVE peanut butter.  My favorite way--straight out of the jar with a spoon--several times a day most days...Have you ever tried a grilled peanut butter sandwich?  It is yummy!

I like the Peanut Butter Cookie Lara Bars, but sadly they have been recalled. I'm waiting for them to come back some day.

Didn't know Lara Bar had a peanut butter flavor. That's too bad they were recalled. I live on the chocolate, apple, and cherry flavors.

I used to love peanut butter, but gave it up when I stopped eating starchy foods, which includes legumes. Now I use almond butter instead. It's pretty good.

jon - i agree, reeses are the winner. have you ever had the easter-themed ones that are shaped like eggs? i swear they taste even better than the original.

The reese's miniature beat out the normal and big cups.  Just pop one in your mouth and the peanut butter and chocolate do a dance in your mouth.  My favorite way to eat PB?  with chocolate.

I grind my own at Good Earth. No garbage added, and it is also the cheapest.

If you love peanut butter and chocolate and feel like eating something packed with sinful calories, I'd suggest Paula Deen's Georgia Cookie Candy. Super easy and fast to make. BUT IT IS DEADLY.

Sorry. The note from "Adam" was actually me. I didn't realize it was signed in under his name.

+ 1 for almond butter! Last week I discovered my new favorite snack.  Trader Joe's organic animal crackers dipped in fresh ground almond butter.

Celery sticks with almond butter is a real treat. Add raisins ("ants on a log") and/or honey to really sweeten the deal.
