Is anyone planning on running Boston this year?  I was just curious about how many people are registered.  I read that Jeff S. is running.  I have not heard about anyone else though.

I am registered, but for various reasons will not be running it this year. Does that count?

I'll be there and I believe that Shirley Fasbinder will as well, both of us are from St Louis.

Boston Bib numbers are out on the Entrants Webpage for the race!  Now it is getting real!

By my count on this board that's 17 people who'll be there. Anyone else to add their name to this list?

Did you guys read your Boston guide?  Did you notice that headphones are no longer banned for runners not competing to win?  I never run with headphones anyways, but I always enjoyed Boston even more because those around me weren't wearing headphones.  What do you guys think of the change?

When I was just getting into racing I used to wear headphones. I no longer do for many reasons. First its safer for me to hear what's around me. Second, its more fun to hear what's around me then simply being caught in my own world. Ultimately it doesn't bother me, but if I want to say something to another runner, I don't like having to look for headphones or repeat myself after they pause their music. As long as their headphones don't interfere with my race, I'm not necessarily opposed.

Well, we should have a little blogger lunch or something. It would be awesome to put some faces to names. Anyone in for that?

I fly in on Thursday night. I've got plans Friday night. Saturday is probably pretty booked. For me it would have to be Friday or Sunday. I'm up for it. I'd love to meet some bloggers. Anyone know Boston and willing to organize this?

I personally have never been to Boston but a couple of the people in our group have been several times. I will ask around and see what the word is. Julie, Raz, Cheris, Jody, Peggy, Mike, Dean, Kris and myself get there on Thursday afternoon and leave Tuesday morning.
