Hi Kory,

I need to ask my brother, my nephew was diagnosed with something similar a couple years ago.  He had to go through some physical therapy - and I am not sure if running was included, but I am sure it can't hurt (though my nephew has some motor skills problems -- holding a pencil is something he had to work on).

More information later.
