I was thinking of running the half marathon course on Saturday the 10th.

Anyone interested in joining? Maybe the running club here in St. George would like to meet there and do that this Saturday?

I'll jump in with you Nate - James probably wouldn't mind either.  Time?  7:00 AM?

Oh for the good ol' days of planning a run. One of these days I'll be able to go out and run again, maybe.  I feel like I'm going to die an old man with a sore left hamstring.
Anyways it sounds fun! But cold too- down by the river (7 a.m) burr!

Hey- for those of us coming in for Painters 1/2- what kind of temps can we expect?  Any ideas?

You may want to talk to Steve @ St. George Running Center. We were talking about running this saturday as well. I know I was hoping for something a little later..more like 8:00 or 9:00. The race begins @ 9:00.......I am hoping to do the run. I messed up my calf yesterday running the course and had to bail out after 11.00 miles. I am hoping it is feeling better so that I can have a good go at it on Saturday!

Sorry about the calf  Sad.  I will call Steve, say like next Thursday to get an idea of the probable temp for the race.  See you there.

Temperature for the race. Based on today, the high is supposed to be around 50-52. The average temp this time of year is 55. At 9:00am this morning the temp was 28 and sunny. I would be hoping for a little warmer than that for the race!

7 am was Dave's idea, so blame him on the starting time. Maybe we could do 8 and compromise? I think 9 am is just too late for me. Got a lot to get done on Saturday. We could do more than one group as well. Could do a 7, 8 and 9 group...

Maybe if we all post on our blogs then the word will get out a bit quicker...

I am willing to come over and carry water and gels in a backpack while I ride my bike since I am out of commission for running for at least the next little while.  Let me know what time you guys would need me.

Log, your more than welcome to come and do a little x-training.  Maybe Clydie will be up for a ride too.
I would like to still stick with 7:00 just to get it done, but if others are up for a different time go with it...!

Hey guys. I just stopped by and talked with Steve. He said that he has a group going out to run the course @ 8:00am. It sounded like around 6 or so were going to go out @ 8......for whatever it is worth. Grin
