Garmin Foreruner 205 Battery life

Just curious to see if anyone else who owns a Forerunner 205 is running into problems with battery life. In the past couple of weeks, my Forerunner's battery life has significantly dropped. I am now lucky to get about 6-7 hours out of the battery between charges, whereas I used to get 10-12.
Anyone had success in dealing with Garmin on an issue like this? I sent them a note and they said the would replace the unit...for $89! The thing is just over a year old, I would expect the batteries to last longer than this.

My battery life has dropped significantly as well - $89 that's a joke - I guess I'll just keep putting it on the charger nearly everyday.

I have a 201 and it seems like the battery isn't lasting as long. I've had mine for 4 years so I am probably ready for an upgrade.

I'm with you Dave, the charger is free. Just kinda crappy that they can't make a product that will stand up and last as you use it as designed. What did they think, that runners would only use it every other run?!

Replace the unit for $89? Or just the battery?
You know, my good old reliable Timex Ironman only needs a new $2 battery every 3-4 years... if you're willing/able to give up your GPS addiction. Just saying.

Jon trail races and running would be soo much more fun with a GPS. But I guess you'll never know...

I love that expression "Just saying." You could just about say anything so long you end with "Just saying" can't ya?

In the South you can say anything you want about someone, as long as you end the sentence with "bless her/his heart". I always thought this was pretty funny!
