Many of you know Zuzana Tomas and her husband Alexander from the local racing circuit. I just learned that Zuzana will be running in the Olympics in the marathon for her native Slovakia.  Congrats to her.

I just saw that Bill beat me by two days with this news (posted under the Running Category) ... but congrats all the same. It's news that is worth mentioning twice.

Zuzana has a blog at

http://runzuzanarun.blogspot.com/

As far as I am concerned, she is representing not only Slovakia, but our local running community as well. Let's give her some support and show her that we read it!

Zuzana ran 2:49:39 for 67th place.  1:20:57 at the half.

Pretty consistent splits (19:20-19:45 per 5k) throughout the race until 35k (2:15:48). After that looks like things slowed. 22:14 from 35-40k; then 11:37 for the last 2k.

She has a very good race report up on her blog. I found it very inspiring. She was tough to finish the race, and serves as a good role model for us all.

I read it too and appreciate her posting her experience.  She is one tough cookie.
