Ok, I know I am setting myself up for some public harassment on this one, but I think a weight tracker would be nice. Many on the blog use running as a form of tracking fitness, and many run for weight management. It would be nice to have a weight tracker.

Yup, Michelle, you set yourself up. I thought it was the ultimate taboo to ask a woman her weight, and you want to openly post it for all to see? We runners must be crazy...

Are you joking Adam? No not a weight board, just a way for us to track our weight as a data point, instead of in the comments.

Yes, but would the first page be for the heaviest or the lightest?

neither. I was thinking amount of weight loss during that week! more weight loss puts you higher on the page.

Good idea. This would allow runners with excess weight to appear at the top with no threat from the ones who already are at the ideal weight. However, I would somehow like to communicate the message that not all weight loss is healthy, not all weight gain is unhealthy, weighing a certain amount is not necessarily a sign of good health, and that achieving a certain weight should never be a fitness goal.
Maybe instead we should set up a bragging board. Post there if you want to brag about something.

"Yes, but have a running only and also make a swimming board, a biking board" I agree that it is unfair to rank running+biking miles.
Also, as for the blog templates, if one chooses "triathlon", there would not be any slow/fast/etc. miles under running. It may be useful to keep a track of crosstraining for runners in this blog... (If I run all the week, my knees get hurt quickly...)

With one spare time programmer nothing has yet happened. My offer for free PHP/MySQL/Web development classes still stands, see the message on the Services/Help Wanted board.

The weight tracker and the calorie tracker are now available. Enable under User Options.

I noticed they log next to the total miles how does it work? Like total calories burned? And total weight change during the week?

"Total" weight is your average weight for the period.
