It was nice to see Paul recognized for his class and sportsmanship by Doug Robinson in this article in today's paper.

It is indeed awesome to see examples of honor recognized in the press when most of what we get is such despicable examples of character.  Well done Paul!

I enjoyed this story today more than the US advancing in the World Cup (sacrilege!).  Thanks to Paul for reminding us that common decency is applicable everywhere; especially in the field of competition.

I'm sure this attention embarasses Paul, but he deserves the accolades.  He's a good, honest person.  Hopefully more people with follow his sporting example.  Well done, Paul.

The article mentioned Seth's condition (type 1 diabetis), which I did not know about. But it neglected to mention Paul's (Ankylosing Spondylitis ). So I posted a comment there to keep things in balance. If Seth and Paul can run a sub-1:06 (without the wrong turn) half, and Albert Wint (missing flap in a heart valve) can run sub-2:30 marathon with their conditions, it shows that those conditions can be worked around with faith and persistence. Do not give up if you have one.

The best part is that no one on this blog is a bit surprised. Nice job Paul.

Now Paul and Nan, both of the FRB, got some more press:
