Coming from Park City...Can I drive to the Top of Big Mtn. for the start of Des News? I wouldn't be parking up there, just getting dropped off.

Does anyone know if they close the rroad prior to the race?

Thanks in advance,
Steve

They close the road, but there is a backroad route, and I am pretty sure it is open.

Thanks,
I do know that way up there. It will probably be my best bet. I just didn't know if they closed the road the way the course goes. Either way, I'll make it.

For the record and future reference, Steve successfully got to the start using the above route. This buys you some extra sleep. If you are from out of town and getting a hotel anyway, something on I-80 is a good option. Or if you have friends that live in Kamas, Heber, Park City, Hennifer, even Morgan, or anywhere in that general area, that is a good place to stay the night before.
