Drymax Maximum protection socks- they are expensive, but I have worn them for thousands of miles without a blister (literally). Even worn them for 24+ hrs while wet the whole time. That's my best idea.

Once you have blisters, I go with moleskin.

Any suggestions on the best way to bandage blisters on feet when running? I wear wicking socks, have proper fitting shoes, but the heat still makes my feet sweat something terrible causing blisters on the balls of my feet. Any way to avoid blisters when running? Undecided Thank you!

7/18/2015: Draper Days 5K family average of 9:  20:50!

Here's info from Sasha's blog:

We made our family goal of sub-21:00 average. Benjamin (16) 15:58, me (42) 17:22, Joseph (10) 19:48 (first time under 20:00!), Jacob (Cool 20:07 (huge PR), Jenny (14) 22:14 (new PR), Julia (12) 23:04, William (6) 23:15 (quite a surprise), and Sarah 24:58. This gives us the average of 20:50.75 or 6:42.56 per mile! This was quite a miracle - nobody had a bummer raceand there were several breakthroughs. If you ever tried to have zero bummers on one day in a group of eight of our demographic you would know what I am talking about - somebody will get sick, somebody will get injured, somebody would have a mental breakdown.

Amazing!

I haven't read any non-kid books in a while, but I've got several in my amazon wish list- The Ultra Mindset by Travis Macy, Life at the Bottom by Theodore Dalrymple, and The Emerald Mile, by Kevin Fedarko.

You?

You're trying to revive it singlehandedly, huh? If you post as many times as I did, you just might make it. I think I'm still second most. And will probably hold that title forever, even if I die.

Ditto. I've even protested by removing myself from the entire state.

I don't own any, but Julbo has some like that. Not cheap, but I've heard great things about them.

If you cannot do more than 50 mpw time-wise, your only choice is to increase the speed of your runs somehow. The challenge with that is that the chances of injury and overtraining increase a lot - you have to be very careful. Another alternative is to change jobs. For any "awesome" job there is always a better one if you look around.
