Title: Two features for the wish list
Post by: Claudio Delfino on January 25, 2012, 12:29:19 pm
Hello Sasha,

I submitted these requests thru the feedback form, one a while ago and one today, but thought I would put it here too.

I think it would be interesting to have a capability to search the race reports for faster times, divided by race length (and maybe also by age group, but this would require entering the runner's age with the race report, which is currently not done). For example, we would see a list of all 10K's ordered by time, with links to the race reports, or a list of the fastest marathons in the age-group 40-44 etc. etc

Another feature I would like to see added to FRB is the capability to enter a VDOT and keep track of the "running intensity points" as per the Jack Daniels tables, in addition to tracking the daily miles. So for example if I input, for a given day, 4 miles EZ, 3 T and 1 R, the form would give me the total points for the workout based on VDOT (and maybe also based on the pace input, to make it more precise; but even an assumption embedded in the code for an average pace at the input VDOT in each of the 4 zones, EZ-MP-T and VO2max, I think would work fine).

Thanks for maintaining the blog!
