Title: Every Picture I try to post is too big?
Post by: Royce on August 31, 2010, 01:30:32 am
No matter which picture I choose from my computer, the site wont let me use because it is "too large".
I can not figure out how to compress the file or picture.  Anyone have a solution.

Most computers have a bitmap editor (Windows - Start Menu->All Programs->Accessories->Paint).  You can shrink an image using Paint by going to Image->Stretch/Skew and changing the vertical and horizontal stretch percentages.  You can also save as a .jpg for compression.

You can also try to email it to yourself.  I know outlook will ask you what size of pictures you want to send.

You can also right click and open with Microsoft Office Picture Manager.  Then click "Edit Picture" at the top, then "Compress" on the right.  You can choose the size.
