Title: pain in the foot
Post by: Brice on March 26, 2010, 03:01:46 pm
Not sure if this is an injury or a sign of age.  When I wake up in the morning or when I get up after sitting for awhile I feel pain on the top of my foot, right in the middle.  The pain feels more like a bad bruise and goes away after about 30 seconds of walking.  It is also noticeable if I push on my foot in that area.  It doesn't hurt any other time.  I have been having this problem for a few months now, even when I took a month off of running.  Is this something I should be worried about?  Has anyone had anything like this before or know of any remedies?

Thanks for any help

Try googling extensor tendonitis, and see if it sounds like what you have.  I had pain on the top of my foot recently that got worse if I was in shoes and they touched the top of my foot--now that I have started skipping the laces over the sore area it is almost completely healed and I could probably wear shoes normally now.

Thanks April, after reading about that I think it is exactly what it is.
