Title: Rest before raceday
Post by: Mike Davis on December 29, 2008, 02:11:55 pm
Today is my sixth day in a row and I have a 5k to run on Thursday.
I'm feeling pretty good and hoping for a PR in this race.
Should I push it to seven days in a row and rest Wednesday or just rest for two days before the race?

Just don't do any hard running in the days leading up to the race. But running is fine.

Agreed.  Also don't push distance.  Not sure how many you normally do in a day, but don't exceed your norm, and take em easy.  You've got business on Thursday.

Thanks for the replies.
I ran my normal 6 mile route at an easy pace today and I'm glad I did; It was an eventful run!
I'm still feeling good and I know I'll be ready to go on Thursday after one day of rest.
