Title: Chiropractors and Running
Post by: Scott Zincone on December 14, 2008, 07:01:06 pm
I know many bloggers see a chiropractor regularly for adjustments.  I have been wondering if this is something I should do.  For a couple months I have felt a little unbalanced when running.  My form seems a little of.  My right hip has been hurting and my the bony area on my left buttock hurts when sitting.  Wondering if and adjustment could help.  And if not, it would not do any harm except to my wallet..right ?

There is only 1 chiro I know of in my town.  I know he used to run some, until his back started hurting too much.  Not sure if that is a good sign for a chiro or not.  What should I ask him?  An running specific things I should mention ?

Thanks for the help guys.

Hips, knees and ankles.  I started seeing a chiro regularly not long after I started running regularly.  It helps me and I really notice it when I go a prolonged period w/o an adjustment.  That's about all I have to say about that.  ;)

I've only gone to a chiropractor a few times, but do somewhat regular massage.  Lots of people on the blog know more about chiro than me, but don't forget that unbalances can be caused by unbalanced muscles that massage can help fix, too.  Doing them together may be more effective.
