Title: Race Weather
Post by: Greg Harris on October 02, 2008, 10:27:39 am
It looks like the temperature will be good for the race, be we will have a headwind to deal with.  I hope that changes before Saturday!

Headwinds are underrated.  :-)  What type of gusts are expected.

Right now, they are forecasting 14 mph with gusts up to 25 mph from the SSW.  This is an improvement over the 25 mph winds gusting to 40 mph that they were forecasting earlier in the week.

Actually headwinds suck, and suck the life out of you over the course of a race. Hopefully we can get a break. It's been really hot the last week or so. So the cooler weather sounds good, maybe even some rain. Like I said hopefully we won't have too big of problems with the wind because that can slow anyones PR dreams down.

Clyde, Do you regret asking for rain in the SGM?  :-)   (just had to poke some fun)
