Title: Top of Utah Course Tool
Post by: Jody Hinton on August 13, 2008, 10:14:29 am
I am preparing to run TOU for the first time and have noticed that it is not listed under the course tool.  Did I miss it?  I am trying to get an idea of what my pace needs to be in the beginning to avoid starting to fast.  The race predictor has me finishing around 3:50 based on my Des News 10K time.  Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thank you,

It's not on the Course Tool, but I made an elevation chart a few years ago that is fairly accurate. It uses the elevation profile to determine what your pace should be for each mile in order to meet a given time goal.

Paul, you are a wealth of information.  This is very useful.  Thank you.

You're welcome. I do Geographic Information Systems for a living, so I view providing information as my job.

Sort of, but it doesn't look as nice.

I mapped out StGeo on the course tool last year, so that is probably better.
