Title: St. George Marathon Early Bird prizes Post by: James Winzenz on September 30, 2007, 05:34:17 pm OK, for anyone who has not been checking the SGM website, they are now offering prizes for the "early bird" bus riders, including the following:
Guaranteed/Free Entries into the 2008 St. George Marathon 4 Guaranteed and 1 Free entrance per bus that leaves before 4:30. 2 iPod Shuffles 1 GB for your favorite running tunes. $250 Cash 8 prizes of $250 cash. 1000 Pairs of Gloves Be one of the first 1,000 runners on the busses and recieve a free pair of gloves. $100 Gift Cards to the St. George Running Center 6 gift cards, one could be yours. $50 Gift Cards to Best Buy 2 $50 gift cards. $25 Gift Cards to Target 2 $25 gift cards. St. George Marathon Water Bottles 100 St. George Marathon Water Bottles to keep you hydrated. Is anyone here planning on getting one of the early buses? The guaranteed/free entry sounds pretty good to me, as d the cash prizes. I'm usually so nervous I get to starting lines early anyway but I regretted having to wait around that much last year. The guaranteed entry is awfully tempting, though.
Title: Re: St. George Marathon Early Bird prizes Post by: Sasha Pachev on October 01, 2007, 11:19:06 am Is the guaranteed entry transferable? If yes, we can overpower the early bus with the bloggers who do not need it, one of them will likely get it, and we'll give it to you if you do not. But I hope you can get fast enough by next year to where you do not have to use it. You can get in with a PR of 2:35 straight out of the bat (although they advertise 2:20), then there are a lot of other ways in, e.g win a small marathon that gives entries to St. George, 2:50 is all you need for it.
