Title: Barefoot running
Post by: Blaine Hawkes on October 09, 2009, 02:24:57 pm
I've read a few posts that have mentioned barefoot running as a way of developing your stride, but why else would barefoot running be effective? Is it a matter of strengthening the legs and feet or is there more to it than this?

Shoes restrict the motion of your foot through the stance phase (foot on the ground). Thus you learn habits that are dictated by the shoe rather than your body.
