His running this week actually led me to suggest a new feature for the blog (on the feature wish list thread).

Very impressive.

The guy is on a roll. Friday he went out and did a solo 50 mile run under 7 hours after already doing 8 that morning! Look out Squaw Peak... :o

I hear that Dave Holt eats live badgers for breakfast every morning. Anyone know if that is true?

I heard Dave Holt is an eight foot, two ton monster who can palm a medicine ball.

I say he is making up all of these crazy workouts and mileage totals to see if we are stupid enough to believe him.  ;)

Paul, I have notified Sasha that we should move your comment to the food feats section of the honor board - and thank you for letting out my secrets.

Badgers?  Or wolverines?  Maybe tasmanian devils...

Has anyone ever seen Dave Holt and Thor, god of thunder in the same room together? I dunno, makes you wonder...

This might get a little personal for a few of you, but... Al did mention that the build is the same!  I don't know if that is a compliment or if I should start wondering about her?!

I can't even come up with a good reply to that:)

i'm just a slow old man, but your blog inspired me to run a little harder during a couple of runs I didn't like very much last week. So there you go. Old guys getting inspired by young guys. Isn't that how it's supposed to work?

Fred,
the last thing I am is a young guy - my athletes don't call me coach or whatever, just "old man."
It stings a little  ;D

Old man is better than "fat old man" that is what they used to call me. >:(

well Holt is an old man compared to me, but man, he can kick my trash anyday.  Back when I was a junior (?) in high school he was the girls distance coach at Hurricane, but he really helped motivate and encourage me...and still does with those astronomical mileage totals and running like a deer ahead of me in the USG last year (except, according to the "antelope" thread I'm convinced he can run longer).  I would say that he is one of the reasons I have kept with it through high school and since, even if I did take a few weeks hiatus recently.  Anyway, Holt is pretty much one of my idols.  I even have a little statue of him on my dresser with incense and candles all around it and a little silk cloth to cover it and I do rain dances around it every night.  Er...wait...maybe I shouldn't have said that. :-\
