Title: Olympic coverage
Post by: Michelle Lowry on July 29, 2012, 04:03:50 pm
Hi All,

Does anyone know when the women's marathon coverage will be, or if they even have that covered?  I also want to figure out when men's marathon is broadcast, as well as the finals of the track events.  I have looked at the NBC olympics website but haven't figured it all out yet.  It seems like:

Aug 3 3:25pm is the women's 10,000m (for UT)
Aug 4 3:15pm is the men's 10,000m (for UT)
Aug 5 5am is the women's marathon?  (for UT) - is this right?  What a lovely time slot.

Any wisdom or clarification?

I think that is correct.  And Aug 12 is men's marathon.

My understanding is you can stream it live if you have Dish, DirectTV, or a cable provider.  Otherwise, I don't know the schedule.  Although it looks like they'll be showing at least highlights of the marathons on NBC Sunday mornings.

You can watch live events here: http://www.usagoals.com/en-gb/matchday/match/2/110/431029/watch--london-olympic-games-2012.html

you can get rid of the pop-ups (there will be two of them - one has a little green 'x' and the other is a pain but I just hit on it, deleted the pop-up and then deleted it).  This feed has the best track and field commentators ;-)

Actually, this one is even better: http://www.coolsport.tv/stream1.php
