The Spectrum Daily News - Fun run to honor former track star Chelsi PetersenA memorial fun run/walk called "Chelsi's Run" is planned to honor the late Chelsi Petersen, the Dixie High grad and BYU track athlete who was killed in a car accident in May. The 5K event will start at 10 p.m. on Tuesday - which would have been Petersen's birthday - in front of the LDS Chapel on St. James Lane.
A donation of $10 is suggested and interested participants can register by Thursday at the Pizza Factory on Main Street in St. George. Registration forms can also be printed online at
www.runforchelsi.com, and all proceeds generated will go to the Chelsi Petersen Memorial Fund.
Registration will also be available the day of the event from 9 to 9:45 p.m. Pre-registration is required to guarantee a T-shirt.
