Cool article! One thing I didn't really like about it, though, is that it made it sound like sleeping more during high mileage is a problem--a weird side-effect of training. I think that if your body is dumping out chemicals that make you want to sleep more during high mileage and sickness, you should listen! I'm sure our bodies know how to optimize the recovery best.

Sleep is definitely a big factor in performance. I've read where several of the elite marathoner's take naps during the day.
