Hi everyone,
My husband and I will be visiting St. George for the first time to run the marathon.  I have looked on hotels.com, and the only hotels posted were the Coronado Inn at $175 a night and Days Inn.  There were several others posted in Hurricane that were cheaper.  Would Hurricane be a convenient place to stay.  We are willing to pay a bit more for convenience.  Can anyone recommend a clean, comfortable, convenient place to stay that is not outrageously priced?  I imagine that hotel rooms will fill up fast.

Thanks,
Shauna

MichelleL has mentioned that the Fairfield Inn still has availability at $175/night with a shuttle to the start (but you have to call a specific person, and may have to reserve for 2 nights).  Also, a bit of info on the Coronado Inn and Suites - we have stayed there multiple times, they are not bad at all, and they are just about 5 blocks from the bus point.  You can literally walk to the busing location from there.  If you call them up, the rate is actually $149/night for a king suite, and $129/night for 2 nights.  The checkout time is a bit harsh - 10:00, and they weren't especially accomodating last year on late checkout, so we had to rush back and check out quickly.

Everything is going to outragously priced during the marathon.  Hurricane is not to bad of a drive probably about 20 mins.  I have stayed in Hurricane before it wasan't bad.

What are the cheapest hotels in Hurricane that are still decent quality-wise?

The Find-A-Friend-You-Can-Stay-With hotel. That is the one I plan on using.

Yes, but 2 kids age 2 and under can keep anyone up at night, including a kind house host who is running the next day.  I don't want that to happen.

Looks like we have found a place to stay with one of the locals - if anyone would like our Travelodge reservation, please let me know - otherwise I am going to cancel it.  The rate was 104.99/night for a king bed, or something like that - maybe 109.99/night.  We only had a 1 night reservation.
