The default Boston Marathon registration link is broken.  The main website directs you to the registration page, but if you submit the form it merely reloads the blank page.  Use this link and you'll save yourself at least 45 minutes of frustration

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED!

The race filled in one day -- amazing.

Wait, so there's a marathon in Boston now? Sheesh, these things are springing up all over the place...

Actually, Paul, I'm not sure the thing is even primarily IN Boston.  I think they're just stealing the name to seem bigger, associate themselves with the town, all of that.  You know how it goes.  People will do anything for extra publicity these days...  Grin

There are a lot of ticked off people right now. There were major problems with the registration and most people who waited till they got off work to register, can't- closed! Sure glad I got in this morning. I had already got my airfare and hotel a month or more a go!

Wow!  I tried 2x at 9am, twice at 10am, and then successfully registered at noon.  Almost gave up and waited to register after work- who'd have thunk?  There certainly are going to be some ticked off people.

So they really had 20,000 people register in 8 hours?  Crazy.  I wonder if they will change something for next year.  Although it's pretty funny (interesting?  disturbing?) to read the thoughts on the LetsRun forum.

Ha ha- good call on the letsrun forum. That's hilarious. Glad I didn't want to run it in 2011. Let's hope they tighten the qualifying standard in the future.
