I had a race today - everything went very well.  10 hours later, my bottom 3 ribs (on both the left and right side) are very tender - just above, to the outside of where my six-pack would be if I had one.  Has anyone ever experienced such a thing?  I suppose it could be from something else - though I haven't done anything today besides eat, run, rest, and walk...

I've had similar feelings after hard races- and also runner's asthma, where I can't take deep breaths after a hard race without coughing.  Probably just overworked your diagphragm (sp?) during the race.  I wouldn't worry for a few days, just see if it goes away.

Thanks Jon - day two, no pain on the right, minimal on the left.  I think you were right.  I figured it would go away soon enough, I just hadn't figured out how I could be sore there from running.
