Not here, but do you eat anything during the run? How about before? Whatever you had just before or during is not agreeing with your stomach... Hope you can find out what it is...

It doesn't seem to matter what I eat or don't eat.

In what way does it hurt? And in what way do you look like an Ethiopian? I would love to look like an Ethiopian after a long run (not too tired), but even more during it (smooth, relaxed, and efficient).

I think I know that feeling - you mean like a malnourished kid (belly sticks way out)? Sometimes I feel like that after a hard run but it doesn't bother me during the run. Sometimes I think I've had too much water beforehand and it's just sloshing around in there.

Yes, my stomach sticks waaaay out. Someone told me that it's because the blood flows to the legs is higher when running long runs, leaving less blood flow in the stomach area.

How strong are your abs? Does it stick out less if you strengthen them? More important, does it take care of other problems?

I didn't think to associate ab strength with the bloated feeling. I will try more strength traing for my abs and see if that helps. Thanks.

Could it be gas buildup?

Yes, gas buildup. But why? Is it all the sloshing around?

If it is gas, I would check to see if you are eating something that you are either allergic to, some that is just not good period. This list could be very long as most commercially available foods go into the "not good period" category.
