1:00 seems totally feasible if he runs to his potential. In fact, sub 59 is possible for him if he runs a great race, in my opinion. Maybe I'm just jumping on the bandwagon too quickly, though. I don't see him winning the race due to a lack of kick, but hopefully I'm wrong.

Well, he hit a very round time - 1:00:00, and great place in a tough company. I think he does have a 59:30 in him, though. His middle 10 K from 5 to 15 was 28:02. while the opening 5 K was "only" 14:27. Then he "paid" for it with a 14:19 5 K between 15 and 20. So maybe pacing at 14:15 per 5 K in a non-tactical race would have given him a faster time.
